Plaster sculptures of cows, horses, deer, beetle… implemented under the title I am looking for the substance are the result of my own creative process. It starts with reverse stitching animal skin, continues by pouring liquid plaster into the scrapbook package, thus completing the content of white plaster. The working process is left to the natural relationship of the cast material, the solidifying time of the plaster within the animal skin. The final appearance of the statue is left to physical and expressions of used material. My own creative process is a symbolic attempt to grasp the very being, to cope with it and give it a new form. Plaster sculptures are ephemeral images of creatures that have lost their natural flesh and human actions. By sculptural action they are again brought to life in a new form to make us reflect on the internal content. To remind us once again about the fragility and value of life. These are dead animals and no animal from one cycle I am looking for the substance was slaughtered for creative purposes.
