Head I, II, III, IV, V, VI, 2010 – 2020, concrete, 45 x 25 x 20 cm

The cycle Heads I, II, III, is a contribution to the conventional sculpture genre, which is a portrait, or more precisely, a human head. They are implemented in a way of imprinting the heads of particular people directly into the clay. That is how the negative imprints of the heads, the anthropometries, were made. These “portraits” of people that are close to me are their authentic imprints depicting the temporal track of the presence of the “here and now”. The moment, which becomes a thing of the past at the same time. The portraits are primarily the testimony of a man.
